The steering locks up like it's power steering but it's not I lose all control of acceleration the only way to regain control is to put the car in park turn it off turn it back on sometimes it doesn't want to start right back up this has happened four times while my kids are in the car and while in motion and the dealership can't find anything wrong with it all they do is update the computer.

The contact stated that the vehicle had to be restarted using battery booster cables. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred three weeks later. The vehicle was taken to sterling heights Dodge (40111 van dyke ave, sterling heights, mi 48313), but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact was informed that the dealer was aware of the failure, which was due to the manufacturer receiving defective batteries from china. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that they could not assist because the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.
