I just bought this vehicle in August 2014 and this is the 2nd time that my hood has come opened! I called the dealership where I bought the vehicle to inquire if there were any recalls and was told no. I then asked for the service department to look into why this is happening. And was told I would need to take it a Dodge dealer for assistance even though I bought the 5 year warranty? I called the nearest Dodge dealer and was told that the hood release is to the left of the emergency brake, knee level. And when you release the emergency brake, the hood latch will unlatch. This is too scary as this is the 2nd time and I drive a long distance on the highway to work. The service guy named [xxx] told me not to worry, it has a security lock latch. That's it I am trading it in for another make, model vehicle, I fell in love with vehicle when I rented one. But not enough to get me killed.
