The contact stated that numerous warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle stalled and the contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that she had experienced the failure with unknown warning lights illuminated prior to the failure however, the contact was able to restart the vehicle. This vehicle has electrical issues. The doors lock automatically when the tailgate is opened. The radio and climate control come on by themselves even after turning it off multiple times. The steering makes a whining noise especially when you are turning to the left. The AWD and traction control is off and the service AWD light comes on. The cruise control stopped working when there was a loud "thump" in the rear end and all the traction and AWD dashboard lights came on. All these problems are evident and occur while driving.

I was driving my car at approximately 50 miles per hour, when it seems like my steering or the wheels seemed "off.' I checked to make sure all of my tires were correctly pressured and they were, so I kept driving. Approximately 20 miles down the road, well going approximately 60 miles per hour the electronic stability control light came on post flashing and with an off symbol underneath it in two separate locations. Also the red lightning bolt symbol came on as well. At the same time that the lights came on my car decelerated at a rapid pace, which was not at all safe on the highway. I immediately turned on my flashers and pulled to the side of the road. After getting on my phone to see what it could be, I decided that I would limp home with the car so I could research a little further what was going on at home. While I was driving home afterward, the car never got faster than about 20 miles per hour and accelerated at a very, very slow pace. The air conditioner no longer worked and when I had to drive up a very small hill, the car seemed like it would stop completely.

Anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module. There's was a recall for our 2012 Dodge Journey which the previous owners took care of in Oct 2015 (the month and year of recall). We purchased in 2017. A few time the ABS light has come on but only for a minute or 2 since we bought it. Today 8/2/2019 it came on along with the brake light and (no traction light (the swiveling car image light). We have had a lot of heavy rain. We where told by servicing station by diagnostic test it was the ABS control module system malfunction. And if we did not get fixed our brakes could lock up and system freeze up. This is definitely a safety issue that was corrected in past but is now happening again. These lights came on just as we stared to drive. When the car was resting for 30 minutes and I was leaving to drive to service station the break pedal was extremely hard to push down ( break needs to be pressed with touch button start). I almost couldn't start car. The break finally softened and I was able to press down to start car. At that point the light did not come back on for 5 minutes while driving but sadly it did come back. I feel we should not have to pay to fix a problem that has come up again from a previous recall. This is a big safety concern. It was in the past and should be again.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate, jerked, bucked, and the electronic stability and traction control indicators illuminated. There was also a drastic reduction of speed to the point that the vehicle would stall at any given moment. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle and noticed moisture, and that the ABS module needed to be replaced. The dealer (maguire Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of syracuse, 959 hiawatha blvd w, syracuse, NY 13204, (315) 487-6211) was notified and stated that the vehicle was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 15V675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic); however, the vehicle exhibited the same failure as the recall campaign. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.

Driving on highway had to pull over. Put hazard lights on grass was wet. When done we got stuck so I out the ABS button on and the traction and ABS lights stayed on the dash for 20 miles, then they turned off for a brief moment and they've been on ever since. Computer module at our local store is not giving a problem when plugged into the fuse box with their handheld computer.

Myself and my 3 young children were driving down a pretty dark highway at about 10 pm. 3 hours from home. In a storm and very heavy rain. Vehicle suddenly lost power. When I gave it gas the engine just revved. Lost all power including windshield wipers and power steering I quickly dropped from 75 to 40 with semis barreling up behind me as I was trying to get to a shoulder to pull off on. Car died and would not restart. We were stuck on the side of the road for 5 hours with no heat and no power to the car. Even callled roadside and they tried to jump it. It would start but then go haywire again. Battery light and etc as well as all others lights come on. It has left me and my kids in the cold more than once. No one seems to know the problem as the battery and alternator are testing fine. Vehicle is now sitting in my drive way and won't do anything. At all.

Faulty ABS module due to water leak, recalled on very many 2012 Dodge Journeys. For some reason, not recalled on mine. Noticed brake light, ABS light, and traction light came on, I had a diagnostic done by my own mechanic and confirmed over the phone with the Dodge dealership that I was covered under the recall. After dropping my car off and the mechanics there not fixing the issue, I was told that my VIN actually was not covered under that recall. So my ABS module is faulty for no obvious or apparent reason. I rarely drive on highways, I never got into any accidents, the 3 notification lights as noted above just came on one day when I turned the car on.

They're are recalls for all the issues I'm having with my vehicle but when I put the VIN in it doesn't fall under the recall list. I don't see how they can choose what cars to fix if the same problems and parts are on all them. So I guess Dodge is definitely not the vehicle to buy since they don't stand behind they're work. I was driving and the ABS light and traction control light came on and cruise control stopped working. And from what I've been told it's the brake sensor and that's one of the recalls my vehicle VIN doesn't fall under.

While raining I had went to turn and the power steering had gone. I had little to no control over my 2012 Dodge Journey. Warning lights come and mainly the airbag light when turning. The battery been replaced and I had a recall preformed for lake of wiring covers. I have taking it to two different dealerships and they do not take me serious. Always trying to get me to buy a new car. Instead of fixing my current one
