Eventually, noticed that the front bumper (plastic) was starting to come apart, mostly on the right side, but also beginning to separate on the left. You can notice slot gabs, where I assume there is some type of pin or fastener that holds the two parts together. The vehicle has never been in an accident and the bumpers are not damaged or marred from any impact. Not sure what is causing them to come apart, but concerned that if the whole unit eventually fell off while driving, could cause a significant accident for me as well as anyone who was driving behind and would run over the part as it moved beneath my vehicle.
I have an extended warranty on my car, but I do not think that body work is a covered item. My conjecture is that the design of how these pieces are held together is flawed and I would like to know if others are experiencing the problem and what can be done to address the concern. Thanks.
