The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. While driving, the vehicle lighting, horn, and alarm engaged independently. The failures were experienced numerous times. The vehicle was taken to two unknown dealers for diagnostic testing, but an electrical failure code was unable to be produced. The contact replaced the battery himself in an attempt to correct the failure; however, it was not corrected. The contact recently took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was a failure in the steering wheel ignition area. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 48,000.

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey 81,000 miles & had it about 1 year. Over the past 6 months I have bought 6 batteries because my car would fail to start. My front wipers would randomly move when the care was parked and no one in it then my back wipers would do the same. The Dodge Ram light on my dashboard would come on randomly when the care was parked and key was not in the ignition. Finally took it to the Dodge dealership in Feb, they replaced the battery, kept the care for over a week, called me and stated that the car had a battery drainage problem but when on the diagnostic test, the problem wouldn't show its face long enough for the mechanic to track down the problem. They also stated the reason my horn didn't work was because someone took out the fuse. When they put the fuse back in, my horn would randomly go off no matter if it was parked or if I was driving it. I took the car back home and sure enough, less than a week later, same issue. They kept the car for another 2 weeks, same outcome! could not track down the issue. A week after I got the car back, I was driving and as I pressed the gas, my car wouldn't accelerate!! I was in 5pm traffic with 2 kids, almost caused a wreck trying to get over to a parking lot. My steering wheel would hardly move! had to have the car towed again to the Dodge dealership. I have asked again and again if it was the tipm but I get nowhere!!!! this car is possessed and Dodge seems to not care enough to fix the problem or find it for that matter. I dont feel safe driving it (I cant at the moment because they have to fix the fuel pump which is ran by what....you guessed it the tipm)! I never know if the car is going to start from moment to moment nor do I know if im going to be stranded on the side of the road with my children.again! a car should not have this may issues and the dealership not knowing or acknowledging the problem!

About a year ago my car horn started going off at random. I could be driving or it could be sitting stationary/not running and the horn would blow intermittently or constantly. I have almost cause a few accidents being stopped behind someone and then the horn blows and they start to go on a red light. I have taken it to my regular mechanic over 25 times and even took it to the glendale Chrysler dealership. Of course when it was there it didn't do anything and they said there was no problem. I even have it on video showing what it does. I have seen numerous complaints on this issue and am appalled that Chrysler cannot figure out what this problem is. I have been driving around for over a year without my horn.

The key fob was the first thing I noticed, it wouldn't lock/unlock the car, hanged the battery, nothing changed. Months later I cannot lock/unlock with the key fob or on the door panel.the car stays unlocked all the time (not good) also the back wiper no longer works..now, the horn...the horn does not stop honking!!! doesn't matter if you're driving or the car is off an parked..... also unsafe. I had to disconnect it and been without for over a yr. I've contacted Dodge..seems to be the same story I see online, they are surprised and never heard of anyone having an issue🤔🤔 seems fishy. And let's not forget the engine, it sometimes starts..sometimes I have to wait for it to kick in. I used to not even be able to turn it on at all and have to shift it in diff. Gears to get it to go. I am hoping someone can help.im fed up with Dodge.

While parked, locked and unattended the horn kept honking and would not stop. Had to remove fuses 22 and 23. Other people have reported this same problem for this same type of vehicle and they have not had any resolution. A horn is required to drive incase of emergency to avoid collisions. It is criminal that Dodge will not address this dangerous problem. Help is need here, please. Https://dodgeforum.com/forum/Dodge-Journey/375847-2010-Journey-with-honking-issue-4.html

My car is at 71000 miles it will not switch into gears meaning I have to pull over turn car off and back on in hope that it will switch gears. Many times that doesn't work. My brake caliber has been replaced and it still is messed up again. Yesterday I was riding down road and car just powered off on me for no reason. I could not start it back up after hour it restarted.we checked engine fluid etc everything was good. I waited until end of my shift went and got car to take home. As I began traveling home a power lighting bolt came on in my dash. Car shut off again would not start unfortunately I was unable to bare off the road because everything locked up in car. I wish I never purchased this car.

I just had to replace the ignition switch, knowing other Dodge Journeys had a recall, but of course not mine, yet there are so many complaints about electrical issues with my specific model I have no clue why they were not recalled! to add insult to injury this may or may not fix the issues I'm having. My airbag light goes on and off randomly and often leaving my car and family vulnerable. My etc and traction control lights along with my engine light come on randomly and throw my car into limp mode while im on the highway with kids in the car. The lights clear themselves out when I turn the car off then on... so it has been impossible to diagnose but has made me susceptible to break downs and near death experiences. The electrical issues in this car have been many and quite expensive...the latest bill was $750 & most likely did not fix the problem. I will never buy another Dodge product. Thos is an unreliable vehicle that is quite dangerous to drive!
