Purchased a used 2009 Journey RT in January 2013 that the used car dealer (very much well respected) had a new set of Kuhmo's installed (225/55X19), mileage 42K miles. In October of 2013, experienced a shimmy and steering wheel vibration from the front end when on the highway at 55mph plus. Had the tires rebalanced and complete inspection of the front suspension - nothing wrong. Same experience.
Ordered and had Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred All-season tires installed (235/55X19). Guess what - no more shimmy or vibration. Cost of the Goodyear tires installed was $1,250.00. Expensive, but well worth the cost! I have kept the Kuhmo's and will make arrangements to have them inspected for possible belt separation. BTW, there is a Chrysler/Dodge TSB out that provides the information that the 235/55X19 tire size is approved.
