a couple of months after buying the dodge journey the multimedia system stopped working, the next time i went to start the car it would not turn on. i had to get the dodge recovery service to help, they then charged the batteries and sent me on my way. this then happened again a couple of weeks later, and was explained to the breakdown man. the man said it was the battery again however there is no way why it should have lost the charge there must be a short circuit or misfiring somewhere, for this reason he decided to tow it back to take it into the garage. when it came out the garage we also made a complaint about it and dodge had apologized and said it was due to a dirt diesel filter and in order to clean the filter you have to drive over 70 mph. however in London this is not possible. the mechanics from the garage had said that there was a problem with the wiring. also there was a missing part, which apparently were meant to be put in place during the recall of this vehicle however no notification were received that this vehicle was being recalled. after waiting a couple of months for the part it had come out the garage and the parking brake light constantly illuminated, i was told to ignore it, then a couple of months later i had had the problem again of the engine not starting. this time the breakdown engineer said that the state of the battery wasn't in a good state, if i drive it to the garage they will replace the battery. this battery replacement has taken 2 days, and when received the call to collect the car they told me they have only charged the battery again.

unfortunately we have experienced on this car a breakdown at least every 3 months due to an unknown problem
