My car was towed to dealer on a Wednesday and radiator was replaced, after getting the car back on Friday evening, sat. The car overheated again and had to be towed. After called numerous times to find out the problem I was told the motor blew and they were trying to find a replacement. I was told I must have run the car hot. The car should not have run hot if a new radiator was installed the day before. Now I am stuck with a car payment and no car.
: the contact stated while driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to a dealership, where it was determined the pump for the cooling system failed. This caused water to get into the engine, therefore, the engine must be replaced. Also, the brakes warped causing vibration in the front end. The vehicle was not seen by a mechanic for this and neither problem was repaired.
While driving there was a rattling noise coming from the engine. Then, the vehicle stalled while approaching an intersection. Black smoke came out of the exhaust. Vehicle was towed to a dealership, who indicated that timing chain and water pump blewout. This was a common failure with these vehicles.
My 1998 Dodge Intrepid experienced sudden engine failure. It will cost me approximately $6500 to fix the problem. This will involve replacing the engine which has sludge build-up and a mass air flow sensor. I maintained regular service on this vehicle and was told by Chrysler that it was my fault. Upon investigation, I discovered that I am by no mean the only victim of this type of problem. Please help me get justice.
