While driving on the highway driver smelled a strong odor coming from the ventilation area. Driver took vehicle to the dealer. Mechanic indicated that exhaust system needed to be replaced.
The rear seat of my car was smoldering and giving off a lot of smoke and fumes with the exhaust problem. I was very alarmed since the back seat is very close to the gas tank. On the transmission and air conditioner both systems have had to be replced 3 or 4 times and usually about every 50K.
I would like to receive as much information as you have on the emissions failures of this vehicle. I need the information for a case filed against me. Any other statisical data would also be a great help. My vehicle never passed emission and I had to get a two year wavier from the state of Maryland.
