Vehicle was parked in the driveway when the horn started going off. Consumer went outside to investigate the vehicle, and noticed that the dashboard was on fire. Consumer was able to put the flames out with a water hose.

Was driving, A/C was engaged, driving about 25 mph, the rear defrostwas blinking on and off, then the defrost on the front panel kicked on by itself, A/C was turned off this happened 2 times button engaged on it's own, the defrost kicked in and was blowing out extremely hot air. The rear defrost botton was not engaged and was blinking on and off, while the
Air bags sensor light intermittently would come on and stay on when vehicle is started. Dealer inspected vehicle and informed consumer that no problem could be found. Also, since transmission had been rebuilt. The control panel failed to operate, and gear shift failed to light up. While driving on highway at appoximately 60-65 mph, transmission appeared to downshift to low and all lights would go out. Dealer/manufacturer notified, and problem still exits. Can NHTSA help in this matter.
