Recently purchased the 2019 Dodge Caravan November 2023 at 41K miles. In August at 47K miles it stopped in the street. Had to get it towed. The process for getting assistance with finding out what is wrong with the Van has defeated me as there is no one on Island who is technically equipped or has a Dipstick to check the transmission fluid. The dealership on Island was contacted and told me there is a six week wait to an appointment and my fees would be minimally $142.00 for a diagnostic test and result report to send to the Manufacturer. I contacted the Manufacturer's customer service to ask for help and guidance and was only given a sad story and a reference number about the call, but literally no accountability for the broken vehicle. I feel helpless and quite dissatisfied with a brand new van with less than $50K miles failing on me when this is my primary source of income.
Anyone out there can assist?
At this point I would like to get rid of the van, as it just failed on me and did not even last a year. The worst situation, is there a loan note on this vehicle and it is just sitting collecting dust. Car Note and Insurance!!!
I will never purchase a Dodge vehicle again, and definitely do not recommend anyone purchasing a Dodge Grand Caravan. I am literally stuck with a piece of junk and have no way of getting this fixed, when I am convinced this is a known transmission issue with this particular vehicle and nonsensical warranty coverage. Although the vehicle has surpassed the 5 year Transmission warranty, it has not even reached 50K miles and has failed to perform as purchased. Not having a good experience with this Dodge made vehicle.
