Both rear doors will not open at times from any source (ie. Handle, key, or button on upper dash). Worked fine then all of the sudden the door won't open. I am worried that if something was to happen my young daughter would not be able to get out of the car.
The van stalls while running and sometimes won't start while the interior lights flicker. While driving, the headlights dim and flicker while the interior lights are normal. I checked my battery, starter, and alternator and the mechanic tested them and said they were all good. They recommended me to go to the manufacturer and check for recalls. Please let me know what to do.
Van may or may not start, or shuts off randomly. I have replaced the battery 3 times and changed an alternator. I have noticed that other vans have been recalled for a non start, but for some reason my fan isn't included. Also my uconnect does not work. It doesn't even recognize that I have blue tooth in the car. Not happy with this van at all, I got a lemon!
I bought this Dodge carvan 2017 it has 41700 miles after I start the van and move it about 20 feet it automatically locks the doors and the right side sliding door in the back makes a big noise this has been going on for a week now the back sliding door is stuck and cannot be moved, took it to dealer said it will cost $1100. It I have an accident and my child is trying to get out and cant. I dont know what I will do with my anger if I lose my child!! I notice that this has been going on with Dodge carvans and nothing has happen I want a recall on this issue, does a life has to be lost in order for this to happen or what ?
Front passenger door unlatched while the vehicle was in motion and will not latch. Door can not be shut and remain latched rendering the vehicle inoperable. This also happened to the driver side door and was repaired on 01/06/20

The sliding back passenger doors do not open with the remotes. They also lock up and cannot be unlocked or even opened manually. This is a huge danger as in the event of an emergency passengers cannot get out of the vehicle.
Driving down the road and the radio just randomly shuts down. Screen goes black for about 10 seconds, then restarts itself. All pre-saved stations are still there but it's almost like we turned the car off, then turned it back on. Happens quite a bit - about once a week or more.
The passenger side door slams really hard when closing while on a hill and the sensor doesnt stop the door from shutting. The door slammed on my daughters foot. The vehicle was parked in my drive front facing downward.
Driving on highway about 75 mph with cruise set. It was almost as if the vehicle shut off, I lost all connection and my computer went whack. All the check engine lights came on etc. It slowed my car down, and reset my radio etc. But than all of a sudden it all came back on and I proceeded. But scared me and this could have caused a serious wreck. It's scheduled to go into the shop and be checked over this week.
Driver side rear sliding door got stuck in a locked and closed position rendering the door unable to open while in a stationary position (in park). Mechanism to lock/unlock the door stuck in the middle position unable to be engaged into either a firm locked or locked position. Problem is suspected to be with the door actuator. Passengers are unable to exit the vehicle from this door causing a possible unsafe condition during an emergency.
The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that the rear driver's side sliding door failed to function properly. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 55,000.
Engine light was on, code read as a misfire in coil #2, paid $400 to have coil replaced and the light is still on. The van still shakes while driving and while in idle.
The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly shut off and could not be immediately restarted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer (East chester Chrysler Dodge, 4007 boston rd, bronx, NY) were notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 61,000.
Are 2017 Dodge grand canavan has shut of when we are driving on multiple occasions. The first major issue we had with the van, was when my wife park at the local retailer store and removed the key and it did not shut off. We took it to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. It has shut of on my wife on a busy intersection and while just driving down the road; it shut of on me waiting in line for a car wash. We have taken it back to the dealership and they "can not find" anything wrong with it.
While coming to a stop the vehicle will shut down. There is a ding like the a seatbelt isn't buckled, the lights flash and the vehicle just shuts down like someone turned the key off. This has happened both when the vehicle is cold and warm it starts back up but when it does the time on the radio is has to reset it self and the atc unit is all off and has to be manually reset as of now it's only happened while I was applying the brakes scared this could happen on the highway. I've only had the vehicle 2 weeks bought is used with 48000 miles on it.
On 01/28/2019, , after I opened the hood to exam the power/train and other components under the hood. I immediately noticed three wires and a yellow fuse attached to my battery/ I immediately asked "timmy" what these were and why is the engine so loud" he stated that he did not know. I asked, "may I speak to the tech that installed my transmission"" he replied, "I'm really busy.." he walked away while I was asking him questions, without any explanation or repairs. The Dodge dealer installed aftermarket wiring and a fuse on my vehicle without my permission and refused to tell me what it controls and why it is needed. "timmy" also stated to me the loud rumbling noises were normal. I informed him, that is not how my car sounded prior to the transmission failing.
The transmission stopped shifting into gear (reverse and drive). The van stopped in the middle of the highway, directly in traffic. The vehicle was in drive when T stopped completely. The vehicle was screaming loudly and would not shift into gear at all. My life was in immediate danger! the electrical is turning on and off without assistance including while driving. This has happened several times prior. The Dodge dealer was notified in person of my issues and concerns. Nothing was done to ensure the safety of the vehicle at any time. The vehicle has been out of service for 30 days.
