I drove over a pot whole that hit the transmission. The transmission was replaced but 3 different times each one contuines to fail. Before the transmission incident. My car would lose power while driving. There was knocking noise from the engine. The transmission shifted slow before as well. But after the transmission being changed out there's been leakes power lost again and more knocking. The car been through insurance already.

While driving the van, the van started making a whining noise. Then it would hesitated to shift gears. Upon accelerating in traffic, the engine would rev up, then the transmission would grab gear sharply. At every stop light the van does not shift forward. It sits there and the engine revs up, but does not shift gears. The van has to be turned off then restarted in order to drive out of first gear. Warning light came on eventually. After scanning at a local auto parts store, the code was P083B. P083B Code: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor / Switch -??G-?? Circuit Range / Performance. My family's safety and the safety of others put at risk because we were in traffic at a stop light where we were not able to accelerate and leave the intersection and were in danger of getting rear ended by traffic coming at us once the light was green.

(automatic) highway, local roads, uphill or straightaway. Car has difficulty accelerating past start up speed. When starting from a red light into 2nd gear the car will quickly slow then go from 1st gear to 3rd. Sputtering, hesitation. After I've already reached speed limit. This has caused many issues with close 'rear ending ' issues. People rear ending me or my rear ending them because of the quick/hard shifting. Car has been seen 2X since Feb. 2020 going on 3X. Same complaints. Exhaust has thick white smoke, smells slightly of gas. Engine check light diagnostic: 2nd cylinder misfire. 1st service fix focused on thermostat and repaired it. 2nd service diagnostic showed cylinder 2misfire again. Repairs focused on changing spark plugs and fuel injection decarbonizer. Last seen 8/2020 today is Nov 1st. I have another check engine light with same issues. 2nd cylinder misfire. I feel as many unsafe issues this car has I'm afraid to drive it. So it is sitting in my drive way. I've read it could be the transmission or it could be a coil. I've heard the repairs could cost upward of $2500 and that this is a common issue with this type of engine.

I was informed this vehicle has been recalled for a transmission (recall reference S44) on 06/24/2016 and it has required a transmission replacement, costing $4K in July 19, 2019. On June 20, 2020, while driving on a highway, the vehicle suddenly made a loud revving sound, RPM increased nearly to max, acceleration became inoperable, and caused active traffic delays - similar to what had occurred a year before when the transmission was replaced.

I changed my battery in my van and now the ac doesn't work and it seems like I smell coolant burning and when I'm driving between 40 to 50 it's very sluggish. And I had to have an auto shop check my transmission fluid cuz it felt like my transmission was slipping. And when they checked it they said I was really low on transmission fluid but they don't know where the transmission fluid going.

This van has been to the dealership at lest 8 times since new. The throttle response is really bad. From stop lights and in slow moving areas driving less then 10mph it will lose almost all throttle control. It will either be full throttle or none. When passing sometimes nothing will happen when you press on the gas. I've had times in town that it will just stick on full throttle as well. Also have a problem with it rolling backwards out of control when in drive we have to all ways have our foot on the breaks. The van once rolled backwards down a hill with my wife and kids in it. My insurance paid for the damage. My wife had it in drive and press the gas to go up the hill and the van would not accelerate it just rolled backwards and damaged the van. She had the gas pedal to the floor and it did nothing. I got the van brand new from the dealership. They tell me it's normal and not to worry about it. It still a problem and I'm stuck with it.

Within the first few weeks of driving this leased vehicle, I reported this to the dealer. The problem was that the cruise control was popping out of cruise without any interaction from me. I've reported this every time I went in for a oil change. I have 55,000 miles on this van. So, this has been reported at least 13 times! there was a change in cruise controls after the first report. The second was a reprogram. The third was a reprogram. I have a lemon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this year they made me pay a $90 fee for servicing this. I was reimbursed because I called the service manager and complained. But he told me that no work was performed for the problem. Driving highway or side streets at different speeds this will happen 10+ times a day. Now, my transmission has bucked and slipped a few times during the episodes. The cruise control delays (and not stops) but now enough to finally go into a gear that is in between and this clunks into a gear. Not good! I initially wanted to buy this vehicle after my lease ran out. I even placed decals all over the van advertising hurst fresh. I need this dealer that is representing the Dodge to stop giving me the look that I'm wrong in what I'm experiencing. I heard that other recalls from this manufacturer for this cruise control is being taken care of. As for the transmission, this is a true experience. Please help me as I am going to get a lawyer if this doesn't get a recall. I'll never lease another vehicle from both the dealer and maker of this vehicle. Thank you for your service!

ETM was stuck merging onto a highway while accelerating. Vehicle accelerated itself. Had to pull over and turn the car off to get it to reset. Vehicle would would redline RPM's while braking. Happened approx. November 2015. Hasn't happened again. Then a couple months later the clockspring behind the steering wheel went out rendering the horn and all steering controls (volume, cruise control, etc.) useless. It also caused the driver side airbag light to remain constantly on.
