The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving approximately 72 mph, there was a warning chime and the vehicle independently decelerated to approximately 40 mph without warning. The vehicle would not accelerate past 40 mph as the electronic throttle control and electronic stability control warning indicators illuminated. The contact powered the vehicle off and back on and was able to drive the vehicle home without incident. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000. Updated 02/12/16 the consumer stated software update was performed.
