Grand Caravan SXT 3.9L

Purchased Grand Caravan, new problem started at 11,000 miles, had rotors front and back resurfaced and then later had new front rotors put on, went back again because they said previous rotors were warped and replaced again.

Problem is the vehicle vibrates very badly going down hills. Last visit was told nothing further they could do because vehicle was out of warranty. We were told it was because of our driving conditions and where we live, in hilly areas, was told if we had further problems to take it back to original dealership where we brought vehicle. They told us on first visit "oh don't worry about problems, you have warranty and we will give you a free rental to use if car breaks down.

We are seniors who put a large down payment on the vehicle we thought was reliable transportation. This is a safety issue. They need to install slotted rotors and pads. They said on last visit that the pads had a burnt track in them due to heating problem and rotors had bluing from heat. This is not normal. Please someone help us. Thank you

Grand Caravan LX 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,600 miles

I purchased the vehicle the vehicle used 4/9/2014 with 35,890 miles on it paying 23900 dollars for it from Prestige Auto in Eau Claire WI and then in June there was a terrible burning smell so I stopped at www.arcadiadodge.com and they said I need new front rotors and brakes was not covered under warranty.

Now 11/9/14 the low tire light keeps coming on so I put air in the tires and burned my hand accidentally touching the rotor. The low tire warning is still on. Are they suppose to be that hot after paying $512.00 dollars to fix a near new vehicle? Why cant' fix the problem? Worst vehicle I ever bought!

Grand Caravan Stow And Go 6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

Went to Chrysler jeep dodge of paramus with a problem at 3000 miles, vibration on high speed braking They told me they resurfaced or refaced rotor and adjusted calibers on 1 side Let them know that i was pissed off that they resurfaced it and only on 1 side. Ralph Russo (service advisor) told me he was a mechanic for 30 years and this was the way it was done.Wrote on receipt that i was not pleased at all. Well at 10000 miles i went back to dealer and was surprised to see good old Ralph still there.. Same problem vibration at high speed braking. This time i was in the mountains coming down and wasn't sure i was going to stop.

Ralphie told me that i was going to get rotors and new brakes and that i had to rebalance and rotate my tires or the problem would no longer be under warranty. Car came back with 2 cut f@cking rotors and a new one, and no brakes..
