Had an alternator put on in March, 2020. Last year had fuel pump put on in September. Then the fuel pump went out. Dodge put one in. The car would not start - they hit the relay switch, and it started. They were going to replace it when part came in but my van has to be wired because it does not have just a regular switch I guess... so my car is at Dodge.
I paid $1377 for alternator to be put on. I had just gotten an authorization shield warranty but too early to use. Then the air went out. Auto shield had part hate the company but it's what I have now...
I had Dodge put new fuel pump on but I still need the switch. Auto shield said they can send a part to Dodge or they will pay 442 which is the cost of a part they found and I would pay the 500 plus 100 deductible... supposedly you can bypass the fuel relay with a kit. I know other Dodge cars have had a fuel pump issue and Dodge did a recall but not on the van.
I have a dodge caravan sto and go where all the seats will lay flat... this grip is about the fuel pump that I have had put on twice. Why you should have to call the van back and do a replacement? I am a veteran disabled and I have ms - dealing with car issues sucks if my husband of 43 years was alive he would take it to the hobby shop and fix it... I cannot.
This sucks because I cannot afford to buy a new car or used car any time soon unless I get a miracle from God...
