I have been going through this issue for quite some time, to no avail. This issue is not solved and now they just guessing and disconnecting things in hope that it fixes the issue. The issue is that every two weeks my battery would die. I would boost it and things would be good again for two weeks. I took my van to Gilmores, they did all this testing to find nothing, so I thought it was the new battery. I got a replacement battery and sure enough two weeks later it happened again, only this time i did not boost it, I called a tow truck and they took it to see if anything would come up, like codes or show what was draining the battery, but nothing.
After replacing the battery, two weeks later the battery died again, so it was back to the shop again - for nothing. Now they have disconnected my back up camera as they said it was the cause, but it wasn't two weeks later it died again. Now they have disconnected my radio, as they now say that's the issue. I know they are just guessing as nothing is showing up on the test, and they don't know what to do or say to fix the issue. I have gone to other dealers, and again nothing. This is extremely upsetting and frustrating. I am continuing to push out money, all to test the disconnection of the radio.
I wish someone would be honest and send me somewhere that knows the answer. I did call FCA which is the manufacturer of this van and not only did the guy yawn while I was explaining my issue, he had the audacity to say I should go and buy a new van. Like as if I can afford to do so. This is not the response I expected. I found it to be rude and offensive, and the only other thing I can do is log this complaint and leave a bad review on the services of Dodge. If I get no response or solution to my issue that works, I will be going to the news and telling them my story. I am so fed up, this was not the only issue with this van, but you can only talk about one issue at a time, I have sunk several dollars in this van with one issue after the other, but this one issue with battery is the most frustrating. Please - can someone help me!!! Also, it's not the computer, it's not any loose connection, nor is it the alternator, as all have been tested and they are all in working order.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!
