Before a final determination was made and the fix done we were having issues with battery being dead and the could hear the fuel pump running constantly. We replaced the battery and fuel pump on separate instances all in an effort to fix this issue. So full real cost after all was said and done was was much higher.

$644.44 to replace the fuel pump

$134.98 to replace the battery

$301.28 for final fix of TPM circuit

$1080.70 was the final total of all work to find a final solution. Involving 3 different service centers including a dodge certified service center/dealership.

I also want to point out all recalls were done and completed before these issues.

Around July of 2017 the van would try to start but just turn over like a battery problem. So went and got a new battery for it. Even with the new battery the van was still doing the same thing, except for now it would stall while pulling out into traffic while driving down the road occasionally. The last month its an everyday thing. It takes it about 10-20 mins to get it to start and when you turn the key to start you have to wait to hear the auto fuel injector to come on or it won't start. Even when it finally decides to come on the first couple tries, it sounds as if its not getting enough fuel to it to start. This is a serious problem and Dodge needs to correct it. I was driving a 2017 Dodge Caravan that I rented and the problem was present in that year same made and model.

Update from Dec 13, 2017: Update the problem has gotten worse as the weather has gotten coolier . My van is now stalling while driving down the hwy. on 12/11/17 while driving with my daughter the car stalled and I had to get over three lanes of 5 o'clock traffic to get to a safe place to try and get the van starts again . After about 10 mins it finely started up . The next morning it took almost 20 mins to get started and then shalled again while driving on the hwy to work . This problem

Really needs to be fixed by dodge before a terrible accident happens and some one ends up dead bc dodge doesn't want to accept responsibility for the malfunction in these vechiles ......

Few weeks ago my Grand Caravan started giving us trouble, namely the darn thing wouldn't start. Had the thing towed to a dealership with MOPAR mechanics and they quickly found the issue, along with finding a big bill to go with it. The fuel pump needed to be replaced as I had expected, but the mechanic also found a faulty circuit in the TIPM which had caused the issue. They restored it to working order, and I hope that's the end of it but I'll take the repair summary with a grain of salt. After some research I found that this is a common problem in 2011 Grand Caravans, guess I picked the wrong year to buy the dang thing. Hopefully, they pick up on the anger and issue a recall, fingers crossed till then.
