The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. Upon engaging and disengaging the cruise control, the brake warning lamp illuminated several times. The contact slowed down and applied the brakes, and the brake warning lamp went off. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (electrical system). The dealer was unable to determine when the part would become available to schedule the recall repair. The contact continued to randomly experience a malfunction with the cruise control feature and the brake light warning lamp flashing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.
2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. Consumer states problem with cruise control/transmission the consumer stated the problem he encountered occurred while driving with the cruise control engaged. We he approached the top of a hill, the cruise control reduced speed, but instead of coasting down hill, the vehicle seemed to downshift to low gear. The cruise control would not disengage with either the brake or the cancel button. The cruise control would not disengage until the speed was less than 15 mph.
