CHRYSLER needs to have some accountability! Since late June of 2014 my 2010 Dodge Caravan SXT has periodically put myself and my precious young daughter in an extremely dangerous situation. While driving, the traction light will appear and my steering wheel will lock and the van will stop. Chrysler does not think this is a big problem! Thankfully we made it to safety.
I have had it majorly serviced more than four times, all on my bill with the promise of the problem being remedied and it is not. Chrysler does not think this is a big problem! Does there have to be a fatality or serious injury to have this van recalled? It is in the shop again and I will not stand for any mediocrity and seriously do not think I just be charged AGAIN!!!! The van was made to order, brand new. The very first week we had it we took a drive to Toronto and in busy, thankfully slow traffic, the car ceased and just stopped. We had it towed and was told this model was recalled because of a faulty belt put in it. Cleverly, Chrsyler covered this up. They fixed it under warranty and did not go on record as a recall.
How many accidents has this specific problem being responsible for? Stop hiding information and take care of the safety of lives. Chrysler. SHAME ON YOU! Never will I buy a Chrysler vehicle and I would never recommend a Dodge Caravan to anyone. Oh, and I didn't even get started about the transmission failing after a year, three bad keys that I had to have reprogrammed because of failure at my cost of $260.00 each time, brakes...and I could go on.
