I would always blame one of the kids for going into the van and forgetting to shut the door. Then one night I came home from work late one night, no need to open any doors other than the driver's door. Plus I was stowing Christmas gifts for everyone. I was last one home and awake. The next morning I left for work before anyone was up and about, and wouldn't you know it, the driver's side slide door was wide open. Thank goodness I was parked in the garage. By then some odd little funny bits were starting to make themselves known about the van, and I know it was closed from the night before.
