Car's accelerator froze and would not move at all. Car quit, shook, and stranded me. Arm under hood that moves the accelerator was freely moving at least 8 inches (left to right). Put car in reverse, foot on brake, and car shook and died. Finally got car moving, drove to nearest auto shop (Dodge dealership) -- they did not know what was wrong with it or how to fix it. Put on computer and no codes showed up. Rented crappy rental car, loud and shaking. On Monday after researching web called dealership to tell them problems with accelerator freezing and to clean the throttle. They did not even know this. Aren't they supposed to be the experts? Not any faith in this dealership (Gallatin, TN). Tried to get me to change spark plugs for $480 -- I think NOT!!! Will go elsewhere for this if needed. Final charge for cleaning throttle: $215. OUCH! Too high for pouring a can of fluid on throttle.
