We've had repeated issues with the parking brake freezing up, but it seems to be resolved now. The first time it happened, I was able to crawl under the van and manually release the brake using a hammer and a screw-driver (there is a rocker-arm mechanism just above the axle that controls the parking brake, to release it, pull the rocker arm towards the rear of the vehicle). I took it back to the dealership, and they had to completely disassemble, clean, and reassemble the parking brake mechanism on both wheels. Luckily, they covered it under an extended warranty (I just purchased the vehicle from them, used). Had it not, I would have had to pay for at least 8 hours of labor.
