I went to park and the car would not stop, the engine was racing. This was a very scary thing, When I hit the curb I was able to put in reverse and was able to put it in N and turn off car. When my husband came to see if maybe a vacuum hose came off or if there was something blocking brake or if something was holding gas pedal down nothing appeared to be wrong. I started van and came home with no problem. Hope this is not a problem I will have to worry about happening again.
Update from Oct 10, 2018: This happened again on 10/07/2018 in a parking lot, if I get it out of gear I am able to turn off and then start again. My husband disconnected the cruise control thinking that might be the problem but it didn't fix. We have called a Chrysler dealer and they are no help, except to say bring it in and we will see if we can find problem. We live on SS and cannot afford to give it to a dealer to "see" if they can find problem. My husband is a former auto mechanic and is able to fix , if he had any idea what to try. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
