Check out the major rust through photos on the rocker panel below the rear sliding door. It is extensive to say the least.
First recognized this problem in April 2010 but rust-through had obviously taken place prior to this date. Photos are as of March 2011. Luther dealer should have noticed this problem earlier during the course of their normal maintenance and inspection when the vehicle was on the hoist.
In April 2010, both Chrysler and Luther Brookdale Chrysler in Brooklyn Park, MN refused to offer any assistance on this obvious manufacturing defect. A 7-year old vehicle with 43,000 miles should not develop rust-through.
Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase a Chrysler product again (owned 6 in my lifetime) or anything from the Luther Auto family in the the Minneapolis area. This is a problem both parties should have man'd up to!
