The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving from the gas station at 5 mph, the brakes failed to work without warning. The contact also noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic on highway 52 in Florida where it was diagnosed that the frame that held the motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted and was not aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

The contact had applied the brakes but stated that the vehicle would not stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the dealer advised that they needed to replace the rear wheel cylinder.
