While driving with nonworking A/C as previously reported, windows were down for air. Started to rain and tried to raise driver's window and it failed to go up more than half way. Tried to lower it and then raise it again, and it only went a quarter of the way up. After unsuccessfully trying to close window, had to pull window up while using power switch to assist. Window still not closed all the way.
All information found on web says that the whole assembly has to be replaced, not just the motor. Price ranges from 2-4 hundred dollars, including labor. Why can't just the motor be replaced like used to be done in past years??
