I purchased the vehicle in September of 2004. The power door lock failure occurred for the 1st time 3 weeks ago. Through trithe internet, I discovered that the removal and replacement of the 20amp fuse in the iod slot corrected the problem, but only one time. I discussed this at the dealer's service department and they are not aware of any such problem with the 2003 Grand Caravan. I certainly find that difficult to believe. I will be approaching the dealership again concerning the door locks very soon. Maybe they will resolve this problem without charge since it is an inherent trouble with their automobile.

The sensor has stopped working in my 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan driver's side back door. This sensor allows for the door to stop if anything gets in the way of the door. One day I was carrying in my 1 year old son and all his things. I went to shut the door, thinking that everything was removed out of the way. I hadn't pulled his walk-behind toy completely out of the way. The door broke the toy. The next day my older son was getting something out of the car. He had accidentally hit the button to close the door. It didn't stop again. I pulled him out of the way before it crushed his hand. The door missed him by a couple inches. I have talked to my warranty company and also customer service through Dodge and they are both saying they can't fix this issue. I don't want it to get to the point where one of my children is injured by a faulty point. This is a huge safety issue. The van was purchased used in 2008.
