This is the secont time I have been told that the whole power steering gear has to be replaced. It was first done in 2007. I live in Finland and shipped my van over here in 2005. I had to cancel my extended warranty when I moved here. I can not understand why I had to do that because car part-repairs cost here at least three times as much as what they cost in the States. Why does not Chrysler honor the warranties overseas? I bought the van in the States.
This type of problem seems to be a quite common when I checked the websites. Why Chrysler has not done a recall on this problem? It is serious enough to consider for one.
Here is also find that the local authorized dealers don't have knowledgeable mechnics on US makes. They don't take the time to diagnose properly when the problem occurs but wait until the problem is so big that it cost a lot of time and money to fix it. Why does not Chrysler develop of a supervising system to oversee how local dealers take care of their customers' needs? This type of service is not good for Chrysler image.
