POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER ($287) FUSE ($3.80) FUSE HOLDER($16.53) DIAGNOSIS AND LABOR ($691.60) TOTAL 998.93 + TAX
HERE'S WHAT TOOK (BEDFORD CHYRSLER/DODGE/JEEP) 13.3 HOURS OF LABOR AND 25 DAYS.
AS THEIR DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE.......
"CHECK FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, FOUND POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER SHORTED, REPLACED, STILL ELECTRICAL SHORT, DISCONNECTED CONNECTORS, RAN CONTINUITY CHECKS ON ALL CIRCUITS AND CONNECTORS, FOUND D SHORT ON M1 WIRE, INSTALLED NEW WIRE FROM B33 CONNECTOR TO TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, SHORT CLEARED, ROADTESTED, OK."
REFUSED TO GIVE ME A LOANER AFTER 3 WEEKS.
CANT EXPLAIN WHY IT TOOK SO LONG, OFFERED ME MANY APOLOGIES, BUT NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE AT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. REQUIRED THAT I PAY IN FULL ($1058) BEFORE RELEASING CAR.
ELECTRICAL SHORT WAS IN WIRE THAT CONTROLED DASH GAUGES AND ABILITY OF VAN TO SHIFT INTO HIGHER GEARS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF SHORT OCCURED AND FUSE POPPED WHILE DRIVING 65, VAN CONTINUED TO OPERATE OK. IF YOU SLOWED DOWN, CAR WOULD DOWN SHIFT, AND NOT RETURN TO HIGHER GEAR.
I HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE THEY RECEIVED AT BEDFORD CHYRSLER/DODGE.
I WILL NOT GO THERE FOR SERVICE AGAIN, EVER, AND RECOMMEND THE SAME.
TRADED VAN IN SAME DAY REPAIR WAS DONE, FOR A KIA SEDONA EX. GOT LESS THAN WHAT I OWED IN THE TRADE.
FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DRIVE DODGE.
I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW REPLACING POWER DIST. CENTER HELPED ANYTHING... AND WHY THEN I HAD TO PAY FOR IT...
FREAKING RIP OFF I THINK, AND AT THE VERY LEAST EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE.
