- Some Help To The Proplem Of The Van Jerking While Driving It - My van did the same thing and my son who knows more about cars then me unpluged the knock sensor. It dosen't do it anymore now. He told me it's ok to drive it like that and that all thats for is to make the car shut off if it's runnig real bad so you don't blow your motor. He also said to me that when your car starts to knock real bad it's there to shut the car down but if you can hear your car knocking then you should know already not to drive it until it's fixed usually when any car knocks the first and most easiest thing to do is see if it's low on oil and that the oil is clean and not black.
