Hitched the trailer and boat to the factory installed trailer hitch equipment. The rear sagged like I had three football linebackers and sacks of concrete in the back. In addition, the front end conversely raised. I did not want to drive the Durango with the front end unweighted.
I have been to the dealership and this problem was escalated to the Zone manager. It was determined that I have the correct "load leveling shocks" in my vehicle.
After some Internet research I found out that these "load leveling shocks" have to "pump up" after the vehicle is driven on bumpy roads for a mile to a mile and a half.
I will not drive a tow vehicle that distance towing approximately 6000 lbs over bumpy roads to get it to level up. It is dangerous to have the front end weight distribution which affects stability and steering.
