When my family and I were making an hour long drive to a hotel for the weekend, the check engine light came on briefly, and went off. On the way home, it came on once more and vehicle lost power and i thought it was going to stall but then it was fine. I thought it was from the cold weather but a few days later, the light came on and stayed on. I got P0001 & P000A codes on a reader. It's unsafe in frigid temps to have the risk of vehicle stalling because of this issue & this isn't the 1st computer/sensor/electrical issue I've had with it since I bought it certified new. I think there are multiple computer issues with this model year and just want to make others aware. There is also a recall with the brake system in this vehicle.

I took my car into Fairfield Dodge (Fairfield Texas). I have taken my car in about 3 times already. The first two was to do test on it. I can be driving my car and smell Gas as if I stepped in it. the smell makes me sick. I can park my car and the smell is just ask bad on the outside as it is in the inside. the car dealership said oh we have found the problem. They had my car for 1mth and 2 days and changed the fuel take and canaster, oh that is it. They said it is fixed " WRONG. " I smell the same smell, and just as strong as I did when I took it in. So, I called, and they told me oh well we can set you up to bring it in so we can check it out. They DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I only have like 57,000 miles on my car and if this is a ongoing thing I think these falls under a LEMON LAW, I bought this car new. This is very dangerous I would like to get answers on my car and not have to leave it for a month or so just to have the same thing happen again and again. It is so bad if someone was to throw a cigarette down in the parkin lot it might caught on fire. I hope I can get answers before taking it in and getting no answers. When attempting to start and the push button is pressed, the vehicle stutters for up to 5 seconds before turning over. This is happening intermittently, but will always turn over. Vehicle has been taken to the dealership on 2 occasions (10/28/22 @ 56.5K miles and 12/09/22 @ 56.7K miles) where they were able to duplicate the start crank issue, but there isn't a code appearing to provide an area to troubleshoot. It was also communicated that the service technician researched several service bulletins and was not able to find any information on the happenings. Because there isnt a "failure" we have been told that the vehicle needs to fail in order to have this fixed. We have less than 58K miles on this vehicle. This has been happening since September 2022

On July 2, 2020, I was driving my Dodge Durango up an isolated steep mountain road in the Sierra Nevada at about 20 mph when it suddenly stalled on a steep grade in the road. I was able to apply the emergency brakes to prevent the car from rolling backwards. There were no engine warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel and the car had been operating at normal temperature. After trying to the restart the car, the engine at first began to operate, then almost immediately hesitated and died. I tried again with the same results, and even attempted to apply the gas pedal to no avail. As someone with some previous mechanical experience, it seemed to me that it was a fuel delivery problem. The car had nearly half a tank of gas however. I popped the hood and observed nothing out of the ordinary that would indicate any problems. There was oil in the crankcase and ample coolant. My wife and I decided to wait and let the engine and vehicle cool down since it was over 90 degrees outside air temperature. After about 20 minutes, I restarted the car without problem and continued on my way. The car had previously been in automatic mode but had shifted to the lower gears. I decided to put the transmission in manual mode and keep the car in 1st and 2nd gear due to the steep terrain. We had no problems the rest of the way. We were beyond cell phone range on a very isolated road and it would have been very difficult to obtain a tow, so I am very grateful the car continued to operate after our initial problem. However, we would like to know if this problem will occur again or whether having the transmission in automative mode on a steep grade played any role.

My vehicle is a 2019 Dodge Durango that the engine light came on. I took it to the dealership and they say that there is a vacuum leak at the engine defined by the evap (evaporative emission system).
