I actually have been dealing with this problem since I purchased the car and had no idea what it was. Anyone who has driven a hemi knows there is a certain amount of stored energy in the engine. When braking and downshifting the engine makes the rpms jump up. With my vehicle it not only throttles up, it lunges forward violently. That being said, I wouldn't mind if I didn't care about my safety, my families safety, and every other motorist out on the road. I've had 6 case managers from Chrysler, I've had "2 star cases" opened and closed, even though the problem has never been resolved. I've had 3 transmissions, 2 valve bodies, 2 valve cover gaskets, 2 driveshafts, new radiator, motor mounts failed at 27000 miles because of the constant throwing of the engine. I went thru arbitration and all I got was a breach of warranty. I live in Illinois where lemon law is virtually non existent …currently my vehicle is at the dealership for the 63rd time.
