I was fishing all day and jumped in and started my Durango and POOF, smoke started coming out of the exhaust pipe. Nearly 5 seconds of burnt Texas tea. So I shut it down and tried it again. This time it wouldn't start, we waited about 5 minutes and tried again, started up fine, no smoke. A few days later I was pulling my boat out of the water when I noticed again blue smoke as I pulled my pontoon (3000 lbs) up the dock. The dealer said NOTHING WRONG, no codes, not a thing showing on the computer. NO WAY......
I'm not convinced that this 5.7 Hemi is all it's supposed to be. My Durango is rated at 7400 pounds towing and it's worthless at 3000 pounds? And they put this in trucks pulling 10,000 pounds plus???
I heard that the new 6.4 Hemi is just a bored out 5.7, don't take the bait.
