CarComplaints.com Notes: When the 3rd-generation Durango was introduced in 2011 owners almost immediately started having a wide range of issues -- from water pump failure to stalling engines. Turns out the TIPM is to blame and those problems carried into the 2012 model year.
TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Modules) is responsible for controlling and distributing power to all the vehicle’s electrical functions. So when the TIPM starts acting up, so do all sorts of problems in the vehicle.
The problems have been so bad -- and replacement parts became so hard to find -- that a class-action lawsuit was filed against Chrysler focusing on the 2011-2012 Durango. The lawsuit accuses the automaker of ignorning the problem until it spiraled out of control.

A couple months ago the ABS system popped up on my dashboard and I couldn't use my cruise control. For couple days after that trying to leave my house but the shifter got stuck on park. I had to turn off the car and try again. So I know it's that every time the abs system pops up, wouldn't let me drive it, so I had to trick it to where I can drive it.
I took it to the dealership and it turns out that it had 3 recalls. Sun visors, alternator, and brakes. After 14 days Reno Dodge released the car with no brakes. I had to take it back to them. After two more days they give it back.
The very next day the abs system turned back on and the shifter got stuck again. I turn the car off again and tried it again. This time worked. It did it again the next day and I was able to drive the car with no problem for 8 days straight. The 9th day in the morning I had a hard time turning it on. It took a several times for the engine to turn over. When I was driving it home the wipers went on along with seat belts warning. The engine was revving but trying to shut off. Later in the day we couldn't get it to turn on. So we towed it to Reno Dodge. They text me saying the it needs a new starter and it will cost $760.
Please let me know if similar you have had problems.
