CarComplaints.com Notes: The third generation Durango is plagued by a defective TIPM, particularily in the 2011 and 2012 model years.
TIPM, which stands for Totally Integrated Power Modules, is responsible for controlling and distributing power to all the vehicle’s electrical functions. So when your TIPM goes haywire, bad things start happening. Things like your water pump can stop working, your engine can stall out and your airbags can randomly deploy.

Defective Fuel-pump Relay - Chrysler is recalling 188,723 2011 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs in the U.S. because of a defective fuel-pump relay inside the power module that can cause the vehicles to "stall without warning."
This is a known, common problem with many Dodge vehicles including my year model. The repair that Dodge will not cover costs the owner (me) over $1,200.00. There is a class action lawsuit being made at the time of this post
2011 Dodge Durango...Trouble starting. We purchased it new in March of 2011. We have been having this problem since June 2013.. It takes 8-15 tries to get the car started. It keeps getting worse. My car also has a "fan sound" after it is turned off. It runs down the battery and battery dies everyday.
Vehicle is having issues starting, either by remote start or by pushing the start button. There have been many documented cases of this on the 2011 model year. All have been attributed to the failure of the "TOTALLY INTEGRATED CONTROL MODULE" TICM.
Contacted the dealership they say it is not under warranty and there is no recall for it either. The dealership states repairs have to be paid by me.
