I have filed a small claims lawsuit in a South Dakota Circuit Court. The court documents are in the public domain. Because they are lengthy, I will state the main points.
Main points:
1. Chrysler knew or should have known in October 2014 that the Takata air bag inflators installed in the Durango were defective.
2. Chrysler purchased replacement air bag inflators from another manufacturer and replaced the driver's side inflators in a January, 2016 recall.
3. Chrysler issued another recall in Spring of 2016 for the passenger's side but as of August 20, 2016,has not offered owners replacement air bag inflator parts.
4. As a result of the above, I have been denied the full use and enjoyment of the vehicle.
