My wife and I have a concern with our 2007 model as to the proximity of the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal. When the brake pedal is pushed I can also push the accelerator pedal at the same time, if I am not careful. I'V done it more times that I want to, but mostly in our garage when I start the car and push the brake to put it in gear to back out....updated 01/29/15
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Durango. While pulling into a tire shop parking lot, the contact's foot slipped off the brake pedal and onto the accelerator pedal. The vehicle drove into the tire shop wall and through the showroom floor. An employee sustained a broken leg. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the brake and accelerator pedals were too close and should be spaced apart. The failure mileage was 20,000.
