4wd tries to activate when opening door using key to open doors

This issues has been ongoing for over a year. We have a new vehicle and only use this when we need to transport more than 4 kids. We have tried to have the issue fixed and it happens more frequently now. It shifts even when car is turned off. Mainly when a door is opened or being unlocked with key fob. I would like to use it for a family trip but won't because of issues . I'm waiting to see if somebody comes up with solution>
