exhaust system problem
Well it's a bunch of B.S I took my car(2006 dodge durango) in to get new tires and to check what i thought was an exhaust leak, and the mechanic tells me my manifold bolts on the passenger side are broke off about 3 or 4 are broke. He said they wouldn't even attempt to fix it , and that I was not the first person with this problem another person came in there shop and found out the same problem i have about a week ago what can we do about this????????

I took my 2006 Dodge Durango in for an exhaust leak, they first told me 300.00 dollars to fix it then they called back and said that they could not fix the exhaust manifold on the car that they had to remove the head and send it to a machine shop to drill out the exhaust bolts now the price of fixing my car has jumped to over 2000.00 dollars to fix this problem I can not believe Dodge will not fix this free of charge. To me this is a manufacture defect. This has happen to other dodge cars and trucks with the 4.7L engine. They are using inferior exhaust manifold bolts.

Have a family mechanic that fixed it for $600 but the dealer wanted $2400. Guess what...its been 9 months and the bolts are broken again!!!! Back into the shop it goes!!
