The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango. While driving in the rain the contact attempted to activate the front and rear windshield wipers, but they failed to operate. The dashboard lights failed approximately three weeks later. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice and the dealer stated that the failure could be electrical. There was recall # 07V092000 concerning electrical system: Instrument panel, but theis vehicle was excluded. The windshield wipers and dashboard lights were still inoperable. The current mileage is 40,350, and failure mileage was 36,000.
Dealership is unable to perform the windshield wiper recall repairs within a reasonable time because the recalled replacement part has been on a national back order. This has been going on for 5 months.
