The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the headlights and instrument panel lighting flickered on and off. The vehicle was taken to desert 215 superstore (8030 rafael rivera way, las vegas, nv, (702) 963-8000) where it was diagnosed that the body module compartment needed replacement; however, the part was no longer manufactured. The dealer stated that the part could be purchased online and they would be able to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unknown.

The manufacturer advised the contact that the failure was not recalled and denied assistance with the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000 and the current mileage was 130,000.

- the contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango with a current and failure mileage of 34,500. The contact was driving at 60 mph under normal dry conditions when the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that when the stalling occurred all of the instrument panel lights turned on, and the door chime started to buzz. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road without a crash. Since the stalling the windows failed, they did not go up or down, the windshield wipers and headlights worked intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, and the dealer could not tell them why the failure occurred.
