The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Durango. The recall repair was performed in February 2008. Someone was nearly pinned between his vehicle and another vehicle when his son pulled the gear shift out of park. The dealer and the manufacturer informed him that there was a fail safe bracket that should have replaced during the recall repair. Since the bracket is made of pot metal it can fail easily. The vehicle is currently being serviced at the dealer. The failure mileage was 110000 and the current mileage was 111318.
