The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while stopped in traffic with the brakes engaged, the brake lights were not illuminated. There were no warning lights illuminated indicating the brake lights had failed. The contact stated he had experienced the failure at least four times and the tail light assembly was replaced each time. The failure would occur due to the brake lights becoming too hot and softening the plastic lens. This would cause the electrical contact with lamp terminals. The failure mileage was 35,000 and the current mileage was 121,458. Updated 8/2/10 updated 08/09/10
