well lets just say it caused me to have an accident...i was pulling up behind another vehicle only going about 5mph because we were stopping at a red light and my when i applied the brakes it lunged forward at the other vehicle..not only once but twice and the second time i had both my feet on the brakes and it would not stop!!! It has new brakes and tires and it did not slide either..its a very dangerous problem and this is the first time since I've owned it that it's done that..scared me half to death and I'm glad no one was hurt..damages the other vehicle but no damage to mine but this sure as hell is going to make my insurance go up and i haven't had an accident in years..i had a very good driving record until now!!!

had Durango in to dealership last year. they replaced idle motor and did a major tuneup,but the problem continued. switch to shell premium and the problem went away so i thought. on may 25th the problem came back.i had switched to shell regular gas. i was told that a throttle sensor unit may be the problem.has anyone else had this problem of the engine rpms racing up and down in or out of gear.i nearly went through the garage door when it started racing.why is there so much junk on the engine.this is a 4.7 motor.
