So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer's vehicle was involved in an collision while going about 55-60 mph and a van crossed in front, causing consumer's vehicle to rear-end the other vehicle. ABS brakes failed. Consumer pushed the brakes down to the floor, but vehicle still did not stop. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy.
Front brakes lock up on wet surfaces during braking resulting in a loss of control. One time nearly slid into a curb sideways. Another time nearly slid into oncoming cross traffic at an intersection. Several times the Durango has slid in wet parking lots.
Brakes lock and car highly succeptable to hydroplaning when turning, especially from a stopped position, on any level of rainfall. Most serious incident involved car turning 360 degrees twice then resting opposite side of roadway, in oncoming traffic lanes, after jumping a low median, completely out of my control. I was attempting to turn on a green arrow from a dead stopped position, going approx 0-5 mph when losing control of the car. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.
