Well I replaced the transmission and the cruise control stopped working. It took me awhile to figure it out because nothing on the cruise control goes to the transmission. Well I happened to notice when removing the tranny that the insulation of the wires at the connector of the park/neutral switch were gone on all three wires about two inches up from the pins. It appears that the heat cooked the insulation and it feel off from vibration or something. The only code I had was the P1899 which calls out the wiring to the switch or the switch itself. All I had to do was wrap the 3 wires with electrical tape and its worked perfect since. Hope this helps some of you if you have the same problem!
