I' ve asked at two dodge dealerships for advice on how to make the head light doors activate up and down when I turn the head lights on and off, not just once in awhile as they do now, and they both did not know what the problem might be, so I took it to a third dodge dealership to have this light door problem repaired. They thought there was a relay mounted up above the drivers left foot and it would cost well over two hundred dollars for this relay, plus the labor, which I thought was very costly. I told the parts man, not to order a new relay as I would stop at an auto wreckers and pick up a used relay to see if this would work, Later on I reached up under the dash and could feel and hear one of the several relays located on the left side, clicking ever time I turned the lights on and off. The lights always do come on and go off with the switch, but the doors only work when they feel like it. I have been turning them up manually when they fail, which is frequently, but it is a pain. The doors may work fine for a couple of days and then they may not work for a week or two. I have driven this car for a few years now, and this problem did rear it's ugly head on a rare occasion, five or six years ago, but now it happens frequently. I must say that sometimes when the doors do swing up on their own power, they may stay up for days before deciding to swing back down when I turn the lights off. The doors always fail and or work together as a pair, never one at a time Do you feel that it could be a failing relay or possibly a poor electrical connection somewhere. Please help me if you can. Thanks a lot for listening. BigJR
