Multiple times 4 to be exact my vehicle has shut down while driving with no warning. This seems to be an issue with many of these from my research. Once I was getting on an expressway and was almost hit another time was turning on a busy street almost being hit luckily I was not. The first time this happened I had the car about 3 months after purchasing new. The last time it happened was this September. The dealership has done nothing and says they know it happens but nothing they can do for it. Are they waiting for someone to be killed before dealing with this issue ?
I just had my oil changed at around 70,000 my car shut off on me while I was driving due to no oil my car was three quarts low and my car is at 72,942 just shut off no steering no nothing about caused a wreck because my car died in an intersection granted I have a manual so I was able to engage the clutch to keep rolling but the steering wasn't working so I wasn't able to get it pulled off the road safely now I didn't feel the need to check my oil due to the fact it wasn't leaking and it wasn't burning any oil that I smelt so after all this I call a tow truck get it back to my house let the engine cool while my engine is cooling I start doing some research on why it may have done this there's others with this same problem is someone gonna have to die before they decide to fix this issue now I could've had my kids in the car this morning and now I don't even wanna put them back in this car because of this
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. While driving various speeds, the vehicle misfired and stalled. Also, the check engine warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to san leandro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram srt (1444 marina blvd, san leandro, ca 94577) where the spark plugs and engine were repaired; however, the failure recurred multiple times. The contact stated that the dealer inspected for leaks because the contact had to add oil every month, as needed. The dealer was unable to duplicate any leaks. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
I have been taught to check my oil consistently. I bought my vehicle with 68,089. Checked oil and it was full. At 69,089 I checked oil and was 2 quarts low!! so I filled it and called dealership. They said they could do an oil consumption test but that it's normal for vehicles to burn oil( about 1 quart per 1000 miles. My vehicle burned double that. I did some research online to find that many other consumers with the same vehicle had the same problem ! Dodge should have a remedy for a very serious problem. Since filling I have burned 1 quart in 700 miles.

The vehicle immediately burst into flames. The driver managed to pull over and exit the vehicle without injuries. The contact mentioned that driver stated it felt like something had fell from the front of the vehicle. The police and fire departments were at the scene and the fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was totaled and was towed to a tow yard. While driving the vehicle it will randomly have complete loss of power without warning and the battery light would turn on. The Dodge dealer found a code U0415 ( ABS problem) and said because of that code engine shut off, $260 to fit that, but the problem still persist. This is the 3rd time after a fix that the car still randomly shutting off in a neighborhood speed 30mph. This is extremely dangerous and I am in disbelief nothing has been done about this. Are we waiting for someone to die to take action ?

Car randomly shuts off while driving, whether it is in motion or stationary. Happens on streets and when turning. Bought the car brand new and we have brought the car to the dealership twice for this issues. They can not tell us what is wrong or what is causing this. After today's visit I stated to them that this will not happen again right, and I was told L cant promise you that, and that they do not know what is causing the problem. I said that I have seen on the internet reports of this happening to the same type of car and why is there not a recall.

The contact's niece had to wait ten minutes before restarting the engine. Once restarted, the vehicle was able to drive home. The mechanic stated that there was no failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 64,000.
Car continues to stall in the mist of driving. My car has stalled on me in the middle of the highway twice this year while myself and daughter was in the vehicle barely getting hit by other vehicles. Something needs to be done. I pay too much for this car to have myself and child at risk everyday.

The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to maneuver due to the power steering being inoperable at the time. The contact was able to safely guide the vehicle off of the roadway. After several minutes the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The service technician suggested that the oil evaporation sensor may need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. After the car sits in the hot Florida sun for about 8-10 hours from morning to about 2:30-3:00 the car starts fine and then I start driving and when I slow down to come to a stop, the car stalls. Then it starts back up again when I push the start button. This happens in Florida summer, not during the "winter" months.
When my oil life goes below 35% the engine will shut of while I am driving. It mostly happens when making a turn. It does restart after about 2 minutes and cranking the engine.

I have a 2016 Dodge Dart SXT that I bought over a year ago when it had 20, xxx miles on it, it now has 46, xxx miles on it, it does the weirdest thing, I will be driving it and it just dies and doesn't want to start back up until a couple minutes later, it is embarrassing and a traffic hazzard to be stalled in the middle of an intersection or at a stop light, it has been doing this off and on since I bought the car, it is very dangerous, it wasnt until recently that I realized that this is happening every time that my oil change percentage is at 25% or below, so I googled the problem I am having and it is a common issue with these cars, they are consuming oil in between oil changes to the point the engine is 1 to 2 quarts low and a sensor detects that and is stalling the engine to protect it, does this car not have an oil light to detect when the oil is low" how is the way they have this set up legal" they need to recall these cars and fix the engine before someone dies !
My 2016 Dodge Dart stalled at a stoplight while idling. I called the Dodge dealership and they told me to check the oil level in my car. If it gets too low the car will stall. I had just changed my oil about 3 months beforehand with the correct weight and amount of oil according to the owners manual. But when I checked, sure enough there was almost no oil on the dipstick. Apparently these cars burn oil and Dodge doesn't seem to be willing to fix the problem. There are other similar complaints all over the internet that I have found. This could be very dangerous if pulling out into traffic and you get hit because your car dies. Also I wonder how long the car will last while burning oil the way it does. As a single father taking care of 3 kids by myself I cannot just go out and get a new car whenever I want. This is very irritating.
